Look at Mr. Blue Eyes! We went swimming at the Burrows with cousin Ephraim the other day. Keena took some cute pics and posted them on her blog but these were a couple I took on our camera.

The next two pics are from this afternoon. LJ is in charge of the ward campout and had reserved a church camp site over in Wellsville. We decided to take a Sunday drive and check out the area for parking--etc. You can guess from the tears below that Bela had an owie! She was running and loving it, tripped, and smashed her shin against a log! These are her battle wounds . . .

We whipped out the ole jumper this week. Bela never liked it but we figured Patrick might. So we decided to give it a go and he liked it! . . . . for like two minutes . . . and then a melt down. He likes to stand, he just thinks someone ought to be holding him the whole time--little cuddle bug!
Another summer adventure of ours has been to go to the Library on Wednesdays for story time. The first venture, from which this picture came, turned into a disaster. Bela loves the drinking fountain (when I say "loves" I mean obsessed with) and in the middle of the first story heard someone getting a drink in the hallway. Of course she runs right to me and exclaims loudly "I WANT A DRINK TOO!" I just so happened to have left her sippy cup out in the car so I tried to usher her to just sit back down and listen with a promise to get a drink after. Flailing, kicking, rolling, and knocking into innocent bystanders commenced. So there I was, with Bela screaming bloody murder in one arm and Patrick in the car seat in the other, climbing over other library patrons to exit the scene. Not to mention her booking it away from me as fast as her little feet could carry her once we reached outside. Lovely. Since then we have gone fully equiped and prepared with tantrum distractors and have quite enjoyed our weekly story time outings.

Plus our coolest firework pictures ever! We never knew we had a firework setting on our camera before so we decided to play with some sparklers. We got all of our names (LJ had to photoshop two seperate pics of "Pat" and then "rick" together but the rest were totally on their own!) It took lots of practice and there were lots of pics to throw out but we finally got the timing right and I think they turned out awesome!!!
